FISH REPORT--

The current prices: adult tickets $54, seniors weekdays $49,
and child under 12 years $39.

For the first week of January, 2012,
the Betty O landed 42 sand bass, 14
calico bass, and 4 sculpin.
The whopper is a pair of 3 lb calico bass
caught by 10 year old Gregory of
La Crescenta, CA. Gregory caught his
bass on live squid on successive drops while the boat was anchored in 60 feet of
water Friday, Jan 6th. He was
accompanied by his father, Steve.
We are fishing for shallow water bass and halibut on Thursday, Jan 12th, and
Friday, Jan 13th, leaving Dock 52 on Fiji Way at 8 AM, and returning at
4 PM.
We will be whalewatching this Saturday and Sunday, Jan 14th and 15th, leaving
Dock 52 at 9 AM. Today, Wednesday, Jan 11th, we looked at 7 southbound
California gray whales during the course of a private family charter on the
Betty O.

The Betty O invites you to join us on a whalewatch trip on a January weekend.
Trips depart at 9 AM and
we are seeing fin and migratory gray whales, lots of dolphin, and even a group
of orca (killer whales) on New Year's Day. We are running whalewatch trips on Saturdays & Sundays, leaving once a day from
Dock 52 at 9 AM. The fare is $25 adult and $20 child & senior. I'll let you know
promptly if we plan to schedule anything on weekdays in January.
It looks like
the boat will be tied up in February to install new engines...

We sell fishing licenses on the boat, one day or year long. WE ARE NOW FISHING HALIBUT AND ROCK COD THROUGH THE WEEK BRING OUT YOUR LIGHT GEAR- TO 30 POUND TEST.
IN MEMORY OF THE GREAT "DOC" September 21, 1916 - July 14, 2007. He enjoyed his last fishing trip
aboard the Betty-O on July 13th. Doc's beloved wife of 62 years, Nancy,
passed away in 2004. He is survived by 12 of his 14 children.
